The Challenge Championship '92 (Konica Cup) is a preparatory competition for the professional league which will start in 1992, and is training matches for two categories of national teams (Under-21 and 19).

Team of Under-21 is a squad for the Olympic Games '92 Barcelona qualifying.
Team of Under-19 is a squad for the Asian Youth '90.

In Preliminary Rounds, all teams play each other one time.
When regulation time of the match play fails to determine a winner, the winning team is decided in a penalty shoot-out.
Teams are allotted three points for a win except scoreless wins, two point for a scoreless win in shoot-out, no points for a loss, and one point shall be awarded for every two goals in a match.
The ranking is determined as follows: 1) total of all points, 2) goal difference, 3) total of goals.

  • 2: a scoreless Win
  • 0: a Loss

And one point shall be awarded for every two goals in a match.

The top two teams in each group progress to Semi-finals.
