In Division-1, all teams play each other three times (each at home and away, and one more home or away).

In Nadeshiko League, teams are allotted three points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss.
The ranking is determined as follows:) total of all points, 2) goal difference, 3) total of goals.

Nadeshiko League is reorganized into Nadeshiko League (Division-1) and Challenge League (Division-2) in next season.
The top ten teams of the league in 2009 shall be eligible to play in the Nadeshiko League 2010.
The rest of the teams and the top six teams of play-off to decide entry into the Challenge League 2010 shall be eligible to play in the Challenge League 2010.

In Division-1, the top seven teams shall play in the Nadeshiko League (Division-1) 2010.
The bottom one team shall play in the play-off matches for Nadeshiko League (Division-1).

INAC Kobe Leonessa changes the name from INAC Leonessa.

16 Nadeshiko League's teams and 16 representative teams of nine regions are qualified for the competition.
*) the top one team of Hokkaido, the top two teams of Tohoku, the top three teams of Kanto, the top one team of Hoku-shin-etsu, the top two teams of Tokai, the top two team of Kansai, the top two teams of Chugoku, the top one team of Shikoku, the top two teams of Kyushu.

In 1st and 2nd Rounds, regulation time is 80 minutes.

In the tournament, when regulation time of the match play fails to determine a winner, teams play extra time for 20 minutes (except final). If the match is still undecided, the winning team is decided in a penalty shoot-out.
