In Japan Soccer League, all teams play each other two times.
Teams are allotted two points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss.
The ranking is determined as follows: 1) total of all points, 2) goal difference, 3) total of goals.
Nippon Steel changes the team name from Yawata steel.
Because Yawata and Fuji Steel have been re-merged into Nippon Steel Co. which is called 'Shin-Nittetsu'.
Toyo kogyo, Furukawa and Yanmar change these team colours from Light Blue to Green (Toyo), from White/Blue stripes to Blue/Yellow stripes (Furukawa), from Red to Orange (Yanmar).
The bottom two teams shall play in JSL Replace matches.
